Before we get talking, let's get a few things straight first:

This is a huge investment
Whether this is your wedding day, or high school senior portraits, both are immensely important events in your life. You don't want just any photographer, and you're willing to pay for it. I'm not the most expensive photographer out there, but I'm not "cheap." You're paying for my unique style and an experience that's beyond the standard shoot and burn photographer.

To be honest, you'll probably forget half the stuff that happens on your wedding day, and you'll probably forget your vivacious smile as a high school senior. This is the stuff that matters. This is why it's more important to hire someone with not only the expertise and unique eye, but also someone you trust and want to hang out with, because the more vulnerable and at ease you are, the better the photos. Trust me.

We're gonna be friends and laugh a lot.
I'll be like the best friend you just met, which is kinda weird and creepy, but not actually. I'm a pretty approachable person, which is how I go into every shoot. I want to be the one you text or call about questions for your big day, I want to be the one you want to hug because you're so excited I'm here to tell your story. I also want to be the one who's dancing with you in the middle of the street [while skillfully avoiding traffic] 'cause what other way is there to get actual laughs? Lastly, everyone says they want those "candid" and "natural" images, but you gotta meet me halfway and be willing to become vulnerable in front of me and my camera.

I am not everyone's style
And guess what? I don't want to be.

My style is different. It's a little edgy, a little moody, but still beautiful. I've always been that weird, quirky, artsy kid that wanted a little more depth. You don't have to be that weird, artsy, quirky kid, but you do gotta desire more than just the norm.

Seniors, I know your mom wants that "look at the camera and smile" yearbook photo, but to be honest, I'll take five of those and then move on. You've gotta want a high energy, fashion infused, genuine account of the fearless individual that you are. People in love, same thing. We'll take five "mom and grandma" shots and then be done. The rest of the time we'll spend swooning over your love story, while getting emotional and stuff, and then drink some good craft beer. And for God's sake, if you don't like your photo taken and are hiring me for the sake of hiring a photographer, you're probably not the client for me and I the wrong photographer for you.

My clients are the most kick ass people around
They appreciate the finer things in life. They're not basic: they're vivacious, relentless, and passionate about the the world around them. Maybe they're stylish, but they definitely appreciate creativity and art. They're not afraid to be different, and are at ease with imperfection. Most of all, they're fun and ready for an adventure.

If you're okay with those few things, let's chat. Tell me why you want your story told [by me] in the most straight forward and honest way. I'll do my best to get back to you within 24 hours.
